At Ellesmere Port Golf Club, we take pride in maintaining high standards of presentation and professionalism. To ensure a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all members and guests, we have the following dress code requirements:
On the Course & Practice Facilities – Strictly Golf Attire All players must wear proper golf attire while on the golf course, driving range, and practice areas.
✅ MEN
🏌 Collared polo shirts (mock neck golf shirts are permitted)
🏌 Tailored trousers or golf shorts (must be knee-length;
no cargo shorts, jeans, or tracksuit bottoms)
🏌 Golf shoes with soft spikes or dimpled soles
✅ WOMEN
🏌🏻 Collared polo shirts, sleeveless golf tops with collars, or smart golf turtlenecks
🏌🏻 Golf skirts, tailored shorts, or trousers (leggings are permitted if worn under a skort or shorts)
🏌🏻 Golf shoes with soft spikes or dimpled soles
⛔ PROHIBITED ATTIRE ON THE COURSE & PRACTICE AREAS:
📌 Denim jeans, tracksuits, cargo shorts, hoodies, or gym wear
📌 Trainers or flip-flops (golf shoes must be worn)
📌 T-shirts, vests, or tops with large logos/slogans
Clubhouse Attire – Casual & Relaxed
We encourage a casual and comfortable atmosphere in the clubhouse.
✅ ACCEPTABLE ATTIRE:
🫰 Smart casual wear, including jeans, t-shirts, and trainers
🫰 Golf attire worn on the course is acceptable in the clubhouse
🫰 Clean golf shoes permitted in designated areas
⛔ NOT PERMITTED IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
📌 Dirty, muddy, or wet golf attire
📌 Hats/caps must be removed indoors
📌 Excessively ripped clothing or offensive slogans
The club reserves the right to refuse access to the course or clubhouse for anyone not adhering to the dress code. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the standards and atmosphere of Ellesmere Port Golf Club.
